No. Appointments are not held without a completed intake form. Due to limited availability and the time we dedicate to each dog, all bookings are secured based on completed forms received.

Our Approach to Grooming
At The Paws, grooming is not rushed or standardized. Each dog is given the time and attention required to achieve a proper, high-quality result. Our pricing reflects the level of care, detail, and expertise that goes into every service.
At The Paws, every service is tailored to your dog’s individual needs. Pricing is determined based on coat condition, size, temperament, and the time required to complete the groom properly. Dogs requiring additional time, handling, or coat restoration will be priced accordingly.
Our full grooming service includes a premium bath using professional-grade, luxury coat care products, blow dry, full brush-out, one length haircut or trim, nail care, ear cleaning, and finishing. Each service is performed with a focus on coat health, comfort, and overall quality.
Our standard grooming services are based on a one-length, all-over trim designed for maintenance and overall coat health.
Specialty grooming including styled cuts such as teddy bear trims, breed-specific patterns, longer legs, hand-scissoring, and detailed shaping requires additional time, technical skill, and precision. These services are considered upgraded grooms and are priced accordingly.
Clients requesting a specific style or finish beyond a standard trim should expect additional time and pricing adjustments.
Doodles and longer-coated breeds require significantly more time, technical skill, and ongoing coat maintenance to groom properly. Their coat type is prone to tangling, matting, and density buildup, which requires extensive preparation, specialized products, and detailed finishing.

Matting requires additional time and care to safely address. In cases of moderate to severe matting, a shorter haircut may be necessary to prevent discomfort or injury. Dematting, when appropriate, is performed carefully and is charged based on time and severity.
Severely matted coats will not be brushed out if it compromises your dog’s comfort or safety.
Brushing out severe matting can cause unnecessary stress, discomfort, and potential injury to the skin. In many cases, removing the coat is the safest and most humane option to allow for a healthy reset and proper regrowth.
If we identify significant coat issues or factors that will affect pricing, we will communicate with you prior to proceeding whenever possible. In cases where immediate action is required for your dog’s safety or comfort, we will proceed accordingly.
